Christmas crackers with diamond presents cost £1 MILLION

Cracker gifts for Christmas are usually things like keychains, bookmarks or miniature plastic combs – but now there are DIAMONDS in them too.

Well you can if you have £1 million to spare because that's how much this little piece of land will cost you.

Created by House of Crackers, this handcrafted collection features six diamonds from award-winning jeweler Tresor Paris.

Since this is a fairly expensive set of crackers, they're not made from tissue paper – the company used exotic paper from India, sheer ribbon from Cheshire, poinsettia flowers and, for that extra soft touch, goose feathers.

Salim Hasbani, Director of Tresor Paris, said: “From oval, princess and step cuts to round, pear and marquise cuts, recipients will be amazed by the brilliance and clarity of each model.”

“And we encase each one in a beautifully designed piece of jewelry.”

Co-founder David Snook added: “We have been involved in some extremely unusual cracker creations, but never has there been anything as remarkable as this.”

Typically, cracker gifts are left on the table at Christmas and thrown in the trash can after the turkey is roasted – DO NOT do this if you purchase these.
