The reward for information about the suspect in the Phoenix shooting has been increased

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Police continue to search for a man accused of shooting a woman in a west Phoenix home late last month. Now Silent Witness is doubling its reward for information leading to the arrest of 30-year-old Xavier Parrell Hughley.

The shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, at a home on 67th Lane, in the area of ​​67th Avenue and Osborn Road. Responding officers found a woman inside who had suffered serious injuries from a shooting, and she was taken to a hospital.

Now, nearly two weeks later, police say her condition is stable but her injuries are still life-threatening.

During the investigation, investigators identified Hughley as a suspect and worked to locate him. Investigators say he is known to frequent the area of ​​McDowell Road between 51st and 83rd Avenues in west Phoenix.

The reward for information leading to Hughley's arrest has increased from $1,000 to $2,000.
