Caleb Williams, USC, is throttled by Notre Dame in a stunning loss [Video]

We're past the mid-season mark, so the games are becoming more important week by week. We could look back on Week 7 as a turning point in the season for several teams.

Saturday featured four ranked versus ranked duels, and the biggest showdown of the day did not disappoint. No. 7 Washington prevailed in an offensive thriller against No. 8 Oregon when the game-winning shot went wide of the right net in the final seconds. Michael Penix Jr. edged out Bo Nix in the Heisman duel, throwing four touchdowns while Nix won two touchdowns.

After a cloudy start to the day, things got a little livelier in the evening. USC's Caleb Williams threw three interceptions in a road loss to No. 21 Notre Dame. No. 14 Louisville fell from the ranks of the undefeated after its own big win over the Irish a week ago. Jimbo Fisher's seat could get a lot hotter after another road loss in a winnable game against No. 19 Tennessee. And UNC's No. 12 Devontez Walker had a coming out party, scoring three touchdowns in a win over No. 25 Miami.
