Eight key members of the class of 2023 will accept the prestigious award




IRVING, Texas – Columbia football has had eight student-athletes inducted into the Hampshire Honor Society, announced today by the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame. The Lions are one of 23 colleges and universities to have at least one player named to the NFF Hampshire Honor Society since its founding in 2007.

The 2024 Lions honorees included:

Mason Tomlin (DB, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Economics)

An elite group of 1,988 players from 339 schools qualified for membership in 2024, setting a new record for the number of members in a single year in the program's 18-year history. The initiative has now honored 18,386 student-athletes since its inception.

NFF Hampshire Honor Society members must be seniors graduating this spring/summer who have just completed their final year of eligibility in 2022, or graduating players who have been out of high school for at least three years. They must also maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2 and be starters or significant contributors throughout the 2023 season.
