WYOMISSING, Pa. – Cameras stand in front of hundreds of arcade games at The Works in Wyomissing.

“This is an idea we had about two years ago,” said Chip White, chief operating officer of The Works at Wyomissing.

It's an idea that works with the click of a few buttons.

“We started building an app that allows you to play arcade games on your phone,” White said.

White said all you have to do is download the Arcade Live app and purchase enough credits to play.

“The app took about a year and a half to develop,” White said.

You'll find around 500 of these cameras throughout the arcade, allowing people from all over the world to play 24 hours a day.

“A lot of them played maybe from 9:00 at night until 3:00 in the morning,” White said.

He said it was an idea that had originated in other countries, but no one had taken it to this level.

“We took a simple idea and I think we expanded it to have all kinds of different arcade games here,” White said.

And there are a variety of prices to choose from too. Almost 2,000.

“We have Yeti products, we have e-bikes, we have all kinds of electronic things,” White said.
