Start time: Racers play Hawkeye Invitational

The Murray State men's golf team will play this weekend in Iowa City, Iowa, in the Hawkeye Invitational at Finkbine Golf Course, the Racers' final event before next week's Missouri Valley Conference Championship.

The Racers will compete in another Power 5 event featuring Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska and Wisconsin. Last week, the Racers faced the likes of Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State and Notre Dame at the Hoosier Invitational in Bloomington.

Murray State freshman, Lennon Albanswas the Racers' top finisher in Bloomington with a 32nd-place finish^nd Placed in rounds of 73-76-79=228.

The Iowa event marks the first time MSU will play on Finkbine, the Hawkeyes' home court, and a similar field was donated to build the field for the university, similar to Miller Memorial, Murray State's home court. Finkbine opened in 1953 and was named one of the 200 toughest golf courses in the United States by Golf Digest in the late 1960s.
