Raphael Pereira is a Packers fan who lives in Green Bay but is originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, where the Packers will open the 2024 regular season.

“I'm pretty confident that the stadium will be full of fans and they will be very excited,” Pereira said.

The game will take place on Friday, September 6th. The Packers said the team is unable to obtain game tickets at this time.

For fans thinking about a trip to Brazil, the cheapest airfare from Green Bay for a trip Sept. 5-7 was about $1,300 as of Wednesday afternoon.

Rose Gray of Fox World Travel said she checked prices at four-star hotels for fans attending the game.

“You pay about $300 a night,” Gray said.

She also advised fans planning to attend the game to check whether their passports are still valid.

NBC 26 asked Gray if she would have any safety concerns if she traveled to Sao Paulo for the game.

“I wouldn’t have any security concerns about the country itself,” Gray said.

“What I would say is be cognizant of the fact that this is a very, very large city and we want people to be aware of their safety and be vigilant, as in any large city.”

The U.S. State Department's travel warning for Brazil is “exercise increased caution,” as well as for countries such as France, Spain and Italy.
