The suspect in the Glens Falls shooting faces additional charges

The man arrested in connection with a shooting in Glens Falls earlier this year is facing additional charges. Following an indictment by the Warren County grand jury, Paris J. Pettiford, who was 37 at the time of the shooting, was charged with attempted second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of criminal possession of one controlled substance in the fourth and seventh degrees. He was previously charged with two felony counts of third-degree possession of a weapon and one count of fourth-degree possession of a controlled substance.

According to a police news release, on Jan. 25, the Glens Falls Criminal Investigation Division and several patrol members executed a search warrant at a residence believed to be directly related to the shooting and located an illegally possessed firearm. a high capacity ammunition feeder and a quantity of narcotics.

As a result, a warrant was issued for Pettiford's arrest and he was then taken into custody by Glens Falls Police on Friday, January 26th. He remains held in the Warren County Jail. Bail was set at $200,000/$600,000.

According to police, the attack occurred on Wednesday, January 24, around 6 p.m. The arriving officer found the wounded person and bullet casings and learned the identity of a person of interest. This person was later located and interviewed, the press release states.
