Graphic black eyeliner is the biggest trend at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards

There's nothing I love more than a graphic eye look – something I (and I'm sure many other people) have consistently worn masks over the last year. And even though masks are slowly coming off as the masses are vaccinated, I'm still looking for bold new looks to emulate. Luckily that is 2021 Billboard Music Awards was stacked with them.

Doja Cat, in particular, arrived bright and early on the red carpet with a black and blue look that included cat-eye shapes and lots of negative space. (Incidentally, the look was created by makeup artist Ernesto Casillas using eyeliners from Suva Beauty.) And that's just the case one from the graphic looks she brought to the table; Just before her SZA appearance, she quickly transitioned into a second-eye look with sharp wings at the outer and inner corners of her eyes.

Dixie D'Amelio, one of the ceremony's hosts, also delivered her own take on the graphic black cat eye. At the outer corners of her eyes she has layered lines dotted with small crystals.
