After 25 years, Sublime shocked his fans and amazed their reactions with his performance at Coachella. Special, NME tells how the band performed their hit “Romeo” at the music festival for the first time in 25 years. During this performance they were able to remind fans and audiences of their long-standing commitment and passion for music and the industry.

As you can imagine, the artists' surprise at their fans caused a lot of emotions in the audience. There was excitement, nostalgia and joy underneath. People were so touched by this decision that they took to X/Twitter to post about it and tag the band. As seen above, they cheered on Sublime and reacted to their performance, admitting to feeling great joy. Additionally, NME shares, “Jakob was joined by original Sublime band members Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson for a sun-drenched set full of hits. They played “Romeo” for the first time since 1998, to which Jakob said the song “hasn’t been played in about 100 years.”

Based on this information, it is obvious that the song served to connect artists and evoke certain emotions in people. Since it has been 25 years since the last performance of the song, the musicians' collaboration in playing the song was much more meaningful and influential.
