EastEnders' Denise and Stacey caught it on Christmas Day

EastEnders Spoilers follow.

Denise Fox and Stacey Slater have apparently been busted for their involvement in the Christmas Day crime drama in EastEnders.

The duo, along with their four friends, have been fighting for months to hide the fact that Linda Carter accidentally killed Keanu Taylor when he attacked Sharon Watts.

On Tuesday's (April 2) episode, the six discovered they were all in danger of being caught following Sharon's arrest.

The cafe's floor had collapsed overnight and Suki's son Vinny Panesar was planning to move the foundation.

Since this would almost certainly lead to the discovery of Keanu's body under the floorboards (along with Denise's “D” necklace), Suki initially tried to convince her son to back off.

However, Suki soon realized that her behavior seemed suspicious, especially since her estranged husband Nish already thinks there is more to the Christmas Day story. She eventually backed out and let Vinny carry out his plans.

Denise was understandably worried about whether this latest setback would lead to her being implicated in Keanu's death, so she began packing to leave Walford.

An unlikely meeting took place between Denise and Stacey Slater – who was having an affair with her husband Jack Branning – where Stacey begged Denise not to run away. The duo came up with a risky plan where they would steal Bernie Taylor's keys to the cafe so they could sneak in and remove the incriminating necklace.

“Stacey, thank you,” Denise said to her unlikely ally.

Just before the couple could break through the collapsed floor, they were shocked to see Jack enter the cafe.

“Anyone want to tell me what the hell is going on?” asked a suspicious Jack.

Will Denise and Stacey finally confess what they did?

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One. The show will also be streamed on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes will air at 6am ahead of TV broadcast.
