The Duchess of Sussex's estranged half-brother Meghan Markle has benefited from a series of troll videos in which he crudely impersonates and mocks his royal sister, prompting calls to remove his page and stop the abuse.

Thomas Markle Jr. has posted videos on his YouTube channel spreading baseless conspiracy theories about Meghan, Prince Harry, their children and Markle's mother Doria Ragland.

He heaped slurs and insults on her, deriding Markle's new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard as “American River Whore Orchard.”

In a recent tasteless post, he imitated the Duchess by donning a dark wig and mimicking a fart noise while referring to himself as “Me-gain,” a nickname that was mockingly thrown at the Duchess.

Some have called on YouTube to shut down Markle Jr.'s page, including former technology minister Damian Collins and former BBC correspondent Jennie Bond, who was vocal in her criticism of the abuse, which she described as “grotesque.”

“When your own flesh and blood leads the attack, it must feel like the ultimate betrayal for Meghan,” Bond told the British tabloid The mirror, in which Markle Jr.'s ongoing series of rants against the Duchess were first reported.

She had particular concerns about the timing of Markle Jr.'s latest posts, which come at a particularly difficult time for the British royal family – which has seen two recent cancer diagnoses for King Charles III. and Kate Middleton is struggling.

The princess's recent retreat from the spotlight to care for her health also sparked a series of wild conspiracies that made international headlines for weeks before she revealed her diagnosis.

“Haven't we learned anything?” Bond said of Markle Jr.'s timing.
