Texas Lottery confirmed a $50,000 Powerball win Monday evening

The Texas Lottery has confirmed that a ticket sold in Texas for Monday's Powerball multi-state lottery game was a $50,000 winner. This is welcome news for Lone Star Lottery lovers who were “locked out” of Saturday’s Powerball game’s big prizes. However, Saturday's drawing produced a winner just behind the Louisiana line.

So if you played Powerball on Saturday but bought your ticket in Bossier City, Louisiana, you have 250,000 reasons to double-check your numbers. Unfortunately, that was Saturday and now it's Tuesday and there was another Powerball drawing on Monday evening.

The estimated life-changing jackpot in Monday's drawing was $66,500,000. Let me just say that you can use it to buy almost everything on the menu at the Tyler, Texas Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival in May. Damn, with that much money you could own a part of Tyler.
