Lady Buffs finish stroke play second and move on to match play

TACKERVILLE, Okla. – On Tuesday, West Texas A&M women's golf finished the stroke play phase of the 2024 Lone Star Conference Championships in second place and secured a spot in the match play semifinals tomorrow. The Lady Buffs finished the 54-hole stretch with a team score of eight under par (856), one shot ahead of Dallas Baptist for the top spot.

WT posted a team score of eight under (280) in the third round to secure second place. Lorenza Perini finished in fifth place with a three-round score of four under (212) after shooting a three-under (69) in the final round. Sarah Reed shot an even par and finished ninth in stroke play Gam Songprasert ended tied at 20^Th at four-over (220).

Rylie Cook completed stroke play after the second and third rounds with a score of seven over (151). Anna Nomrowski posted a score of six under (66) in the final round to help WT advance on Wednesday.

The Lady Buffs will face Oklahoma Christian in the semifinals of the LSC Medal Match. Start times start at 8am. A win against the Eagles would place WT in the Medal Match Championship against the winner of Dallas Baptist and Midwestern State at 1 p.m
