I'm still recovering from that stunning tree felling video

I consider myself a bit of a backyard nature lover and have had many experiences cutting down trees. Well, more watching than doing.

A few years ago we cut down some of the forest in our backyard and I watched as the local tree company used different methods to cut down the decaying trees. I thought I understood the process pretty well. Strangely, they didn't invite me to help out.

Am I the only one who didn't know you could cut down a tree this way?

After seeing a video on my Instagram feed, I don't know what to believe. This video is a stunning demonstration of pure skill and innovation.

Maine-based Bergeron Tree Service is known on social media as “Tree Top Flyers,” which sounds more like a circus act than a tree care company, and these people are just as talented.

With 21,000 followers on Insta, Tree Top received a whopping 500,000 likes in a single day for a video showing a tree ARTIST cutting open a trunk in the most interesting way possible. This involves a small square hole at the bottom, then more T-shaped cuts, and in a few moments you'll see the tree fall like a wooden toy your grandpa made in his woodshop.

As the video description says:

The key to not missing anything is to take shots that you aren't sure about until you are.

Check out the video and prepare to watch it over and over again…
