In the two years since then Kill Eves Despite the controversial ending, there have been no major theatrical releases for Comer, as her two 2023 films premiered at festivals and neither had a wide release to the public. Kill Eve is the project that made her a star and landed her roles in high-profile films such as: Free guy, The final duelAnd Star Wars: Episode IX.

At Kill EveJodie Comer was great as Villanelle, who managed to be one of the most despicable TV villains of all time and one of the most entertaining at the same time. Her tenure on the series lasted four seasons, although the fourth season was met with poor reviews and the finale received a terrible 3.4 out of 10 rating. Television shows can be easily written off culturally if they have inadequate endings, meaning the next few years of Jodie Comer's career will be crucial in determining whether she's a lasting star. An upcoming film may be the most important to her successand it looks promising.

Comer is obviously capable of more than just crime films and TV shows, but continuing to play great characters in a popular genre is the perfect way for her to move forward. Jodie Comer's The Bikeriders Character Sounds Nothing Like Killing Eve's Villanelle (Which Is Exciting)

Jodie Comer's character in The Bikeriders will be far tamer than Villanelle

Jodie Comer's role is reduced in the film compared to her lead role in Kill Eve, but it could still be an essential part of success. The trailers suggest that her character Kathy will be a rational, supportive and romantic partner to Austin Butler's character, whose descent into violence appears to be the focus of the film. Even though her appearance probably won't be as celebrated, it's a fantastic opportunity for her Kill Eve Star to showcase her range in a film that draws on the charisma of its stars.
