This is my Roman Empire.

This is Lana Del Rey's year. While many of us have been following the singer since “Video Games” (myself included), there's no denying that she's having a moment. You can't scroll TikTok right now without hearing one of her ballads – even Kylie Jenner used “Let the Light In” to debut her new lipstick on TikTok last month – and she's set to headline in 2023 after a sold-out tour Doja Cat and Tyler the Creator are performing at Coachella this summer. Additionally, with the resurgence of indie sleaze and the continued dominance of the sad girl aesthetic, Lana's personal brand is trendier than ever.

A typical example? Lana Del Rey is the new face of Skims who continues to capture the spirit of pop culture. Kim Kardashian's shapewear line has a special flair for casting emerging and famous icons when they're most active (see: Kim Cattrall and Ice Spice wearing seamless shapes), and this latest campaign comes at just the right time.

“I've been a huge fan of Skims since the beginning, so it's so exciting to be featured in their Valentine's Day campaign,” Del Rey said in a press release about the experience. “Her collection is so pretty and dreamy that it was so much fun to collaborate creatively with Nadia Lee Cohen. I hope you like it as much as I do.”

Skims launched today, January 18, as the singer launched a Valentine's Day campaign inspired by Del Rey's signature blend of retro glamor and Old Hollywood. The photos were shot by artist Nadia Lee Cohen and show the “Say Yes to Heaven” singer in a range of appropriately tacky locales and flirty lingerie.

In one photo, she lounges in velvet pink opera gloves and a lace negligee, surrounded by two white cats like the loud and proud cat lady she is. In another, she wears a black lace veil and slip dress with thigh-high boots while a hyper-realistic arrow (presumably shot by Cupid) pierces her chest. Last but not least, the centerpiece of the campaign places Del Rey in a giant heart-shaped chocolate box wearing a baby blue lace teddy and matching giant bows. The overall impression is pure Lana: glamorous kitsch with a good dose of flirtatiousness.

The Skims Valentine's Shop, which sold out early last year, will stock 29 limited-edition collections, including the Body Fits Everybody, Heart Print Sleep Set and Del Rey's brand new Woven Shine dress. So set your alarms and get ready to hit “Add to Cart”—if Lana merch sales are any indication, these styles will disappear quickly.

All styles are available for preview now and will be available on January 23rd on Skims.com and at select retailers including Nordstrom, Holt, Harrods, Selfridges, Lane Crawford, Ounass and David Jones.
