How to watch the NBA playoffs in the USA

NBA playoff games will be broadcast on ESPN, TNT, ABC and NBA TV. You can watch various games via Sling TV, Hulu + Live TV and Max.

Of all three options, the only way to watch absolutely every game in one place is with a subscription to Sling TV's Sling Orange and Blue combo plan with the Blue Sports Extra add-on. The Orange and Blue combo costs $55 per month and has ESPN, TNT, and the option of ABC coverage. You'll need to double-check Sling's local channel list to see if you can get an ABC affiliate stream in your area. Regions where this will work include the New York, Los Angeles and Chicago regions. The Blue Sports Extra add-on costs $11 per month and gives you access to NBA TV. In total, this will cost you $66 per month.

Sling TV subscription

For just the essentials without any unnecessary bells and whistles, Sling TV is the streaming service you're looking for. It's more customizable than other plans and offers three options to choose from, so you only pay for what you need. New members receive $10 off their first month.

Hulu + Live TV gives you access to ESPN, TNT, and ABC, but the service doesn't include NBA TV. Subscriptions start at $76.99 per month for ad-supported plans, after a three-day free trial. The package also includes ESPN+, Disney+ and Hulu's on-demand catalog.

Hulu + Live TV

Hulu + Live TV includes over 90 channels, as well as Hulu's on-demand library and access to Disney Plus and ESPN Plus. Adding live TV increases the price significantly, but it's a rolling one-month contract that you can cancel at any time. However, among live TV services, this is one of the best.

You can watch the only TNT games on Max. Maximum subscriptions start at $9.99 per month for ad-supported plans. The live TV option is part of Max's B/R Sports add-on, which is currently included for free with the service but will eventually cost an additional $9.99 per month.

Max with advertising (monthly plan)

Formerly HBO Max, now just Max, this streaming service is the US home of premium content from HBO and Warner Bros. Since the rebrand, it is now also the home of Discovery's reality, food, true crime and more. Pricing starts at $10 per month for ad-supported videos, $16 for ad-free videos, and $20 for 4K viewing.

Here's how to watch NBA playoffs from anywhere

If you travel outside of the US for any of the games, you can manage your subscriptions using a VPN (Virtual Private Network). VPNs temporarily change the location of your electronic device, allowing you to access websites and apps that may not be available while traveling in other countries. All streaming services introduced today require US payment methods. Therefore, this suggestion is best suited for Americans who are currently abroad and trying to access their existing subscriptions.
