Pininfarina Battista Reversario, a one-of-a-kind electric hypercar

Pininfarina Automobili follows the playbook of high-end automobile manufacturing and responds to the individual desires of its customers. This is the new Pininfarina Battista Reversario, a unique example of the incredibly fast electric hypercar – the most powerful Italian road car ever built.

There was already an Anniversario edition of the car (only five were made) as well as the five examples of the Battista edition built in honor of Nino Farina. This customer owns one of the former, and the car was specified to be a reversal of the Anniversario livery, hence the name 'Reversario'. The unique piece has an upper body in Grigio Antonelliano gloss and a lower body in Bianco Sestriere.

Despite all these efforts, the fate of many modern exotics is to live out their days in a climate-controlled collector's garage somewhere. However, there is every chance that this duo of lovingly designed, impressively engineered and meticulously crafted hypercars will be put to use. For starters, there's a bespoke briefcase, a weekend holdall and a suit bag designed to fit in the luggage compartment, crafted from black leather and finished with Iconica Blu edges and a cream Alcantara quilt.

Then there's the performance; The Battista can reach 200 km/h in less than 5 seconds, has five driving modes (Calma, Pura, Energica, Furiosa and Carattere) and is intended as both a long-range four-wheel drive GT and an automotive rocket.

The Battista was always intended to be a strictly limited edition model, even in its “base” configuration. The company has ambitious plans for the future. In 2023, the Pininfarina Pura was introduced, a striking “luxury utility vehicle” concept that hinted at future models.

As an independent company from the design consultancy Pininfarina, Automobili Pininfarina is taking a path towards hyperluxury. Together, the two companies will uphold the tradition of bold Italian design and engineering started by Battista “Pinin” Farina when he founded “Carrozzeria Pinin Farina” almost a century ago in 1928.

We are also sad to announce the death of Paolo Pininfarina, Chairman of the Pininfarina Group. Paolo, the grandson of Battista, son of Sergio Pininfarina and brother of the late Andrea Pininfarina, led the group from 2008, a period in which it expanded beyond the automotive sector to become a major industrial design consultancy. It was Paola who introduced the Battista at its debut in Geneva in 2019, setting the production arm on the path to becoming Italy's newest premium brand.
