Texas Golf Central 2024: Check out all of our best stories and rankings from golf courses across the state, including the best public and 9-hole courses and reigning champion Whispering Pines, which has once again captured the crown of best golf course in the state .

The 100 Best Golf Courses in Texas – Whispering Pines is number one

For the fourth time in a row The Dallas Morning News has ranked Whispering Pines Golf Course in Trinity the No. 1 golf course in the state. It's also the 15th time in 19 years that Whispering Pines has been ranked No. 1.

“We have members planning to have surgery in the last few months,” said Chris Rowe, Whispering Pines director of golf. “We constantly preach to our employees that we can’t afford to rest because everyone is gunning for us.”
