So sit back and enjoy the best N64 games playable on Nintendo Switch…

32. Iggy's Reckin' Balls (N64)

Designed by Jools Watsham (Dementium: The Ward, Moon, Mutant Mudds) at Austin-based Turok studio Iguana, Iggy's Reckin' Balls is an unusual racing platformer. Up to four players are tasked with conquering tower-like obstacle courses as quickly as possible, using a grappling hook to make their way to the finish line, climbing between platforms and picking off other racers along the way.

It remained an N64 exclusive for over 25 years until Nintendo apparently made a deal with Throwback Entertainment, which owns much of the old Acclaim IP, and purchased it (plus Extreme-G) along with the NSO Expansion Pack. Not a must-have, but intriguing enough to explore if you have a penchant for non-essential 64-bit oddities.

31. Dr. Mario 64 (N64)

30. WinBack: Covert Operations (N64)

29. Yoshi's Story (N64)

28. Extreme G (N64)

In 1997, a year before the excellent F-Zero released by Acclaim, this combat-heavy, N64-exclusive cyclist (don't mention TRON, don't mention TRON) might have had to settle for bronze when these classics hit the track , but he performed decently. In the meantime, it did well enough to receive three more series installments in the following years.

So Extreme-G can't compete with the all-time champions, but it's a slick, solid racer that uses the 64 model's four controller ports for multiplayer. It's worth cheering for.

27. Pokémon Puzzle League (N64)

26. 1080° Snowboarding (N64)

25. Pokémon Stadium (N64)

24. Excitebike 64 (N64)

23. Jet Force Gemini (N64)

22. Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (N64)
