Julez Smith's His career might have taken a different turn if he hadn't pursued the fashion world.

On Tuesday (April 23) the son of Solange Knowles She marked an important milestone with her debut in Vogue magazine. While discussing his life as a high fashion supermodel, 19-year-old Smith also revealed that he once had big goals.

The confession came when he was asked whether he attended private school or attended private school as a child.

“I went to school. I played basketball as a kid, so that was always an important factor when choosing a school. I always wanted to play for the school that had the best team,” he said.

“I was really a basketball player – I thought I was going to go to the NBA.”

In February, Smith made another debut when he walked the runway for Luar for the first time during New York Fashion Week. His mother, Solange, grandmother Tina Knowles, and aunt, Beyonce, attended this show.

“I've wanted to model for a few years but it never really worked out. Luar was really my breakthrough.”

His connection to the brand developed even before he hit the catwalk. At one point, he interned for the brand and did “everything they needed in the office.” He also helped the brand style people.

“I actually interned with them for a couple of months, and maybe a week before the show they just said, ‘Come to the casting.’ So I went to the casting and got it,” he explained.

Smith said he learned to walk like a model by watching runway videos on YouTube and “spending a lot of time walking on the street like I was on a runway and walking around my house.”

He also told the outlet that his mother and grandmother motivated him by saying, “Practice, practice, practice.”
