I couldn't afford paneled walls but found an Amazon purchase for £20 that gives the exact same look DIY and saved myself £200

IT remains one of the biggest homeware trends right now.

And while there are hacks you can use to achieve the look of a paneled wood wall, they're often still expensive.

Here's how one woman revealed how she managed to get the look on a budget – using self-adhesive wood slatted wallpaper from Amazon for £20 a roll.

“No glue needed as the paper is self-adhesive and won't mess,” she said in a video on her TikTok page in which she showed how she applied the wallpaper and smoothed it with a piece of cardboard.

“Do NOT try to stick it on wet paint – we learned the hard way,” she added.

She ran into another problem because the wall wasn't completely straight and then had to buy another roll of wallpaper because they miscalculated how much it would cost.

In the next video, she showed off the finished look after installing all the wallpaper along the way and updating a mural to reflect her salon with an image of a hairdryer and a woman in the middle of a beauty treatment.

The color of the actual woodwork was also changed from gray to high-gloss black.

People were quick to comment on the video, with one writing: “The transformation!!!”

The woman replied: “In the future we would also use the normal wallpaper version.”

“I have the same one and it looks great on my walls,” wrote another.

“I had the exact same style but Dunelm wallpaper was £12 a roll,” said another.

“Oh my God, what a bargain!” the woman replied.

“I have this in my living room and it's awesome!!” someone else commented.

“£5 a roll at Shein!” another wrote.

To which the woman replied: “Wow! I can’t believe we missed out on such a bargain.”
