Taylor Swift drops a big video hint that the 'Eras Tour' may be changing

Taylor Swift takes fans behind the scenes of her Eras Tour with a series of clips and Swifties now suspect there's a hint of upcoming changes to the world-famous show.

Days after releasing her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, Swift released another short YouTube video of her hit single “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone, playing videos of her and her dancers rehearsing for the tour. But there's a moment in the montage where fans do what they do best: speculate.

Fans will recognize many of the rehearsed scenes, like Swift's iconic performance from the floor, her performance of “Lavender Haze” in a coat surrounded by clouds, playing “Champagne Problems” on a moss-covered piano and more. But a clip showing Swift standing in the middle of a stage with her dancers lined up behind her, wearing top hats and holding canes, did not appear in the original “Eras Tour.”

“Since when do backup dancers wear top hats and canes?!” A fan with the username armaisacat.1989 captioned a TikTok of the scene, adding, “Taylor Swift you have some explaining to do!!”

The “Eras Tour” is a three-hour, 15-minute concert that will feature Swift performing songs from all of her albums since her 2006 self-titled debut album. Many – including the TODAY.com staff – have speculated about whether or not the pop star would incorporate “Tortured Poets Department” as another era into the show.

All will (hopefully) be revealed when the tour restarts in Paris on May 9th.

This is the second YouTube short Swift has posted since the release of her last album. On April 19, she shared insights into her private life, again to the tune of “Fortnight.”

In this compilation, her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, appears with the star. The videos are created in collaboration with YouTube and encourage users to post their own “14 snippets” from their lives that match the same song.
