Live updates on the IndyCar Series at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama

A lot has happened in IndyCar in the last week.

On Wednesday, Team Penske's Josef Newgarden and Scott McLaughlin were disqualified for their podium finishes at the season opener in St. Petersburg. The move came after IndyCar officials believed the team had violated rules regarding the use of its push-to-pass system.

Tim Cindric, the president of Team Penske, said it was an accident. An IndyCar investigation found no software violations by Team Penske before 2024.

But the IndyCar paddock is not happy.

“Cindric’s statement is a blatant lie and everyone knows it,” said one team owner.

A week after the IndyCar race in Long Beach we're back at it. The Children's of Alabama IndyCar Grand Prix takes place in Leeds today. Who won the race at Barber Motorsports Park last year? Scott McLaughlin.
