Texas police send four men to prison for overwhelming love of pizza

It's unfortunate that even in the “age of cashless” shopping, criminals still try to use a fine to prey on delivery drivers.

The Lufkin Police Department recently released details about a recent arrest of four young men accused of robbing a pizza delivery driver at gunpoint.

A Domino's Pizza employee reported being robbed at gunpoint by two black men of the order he was trying to deliver: two pizzas and wings, along with his wallet. The suspects then fled on foot.

The subsequent investigation led officers to an apartment at the Pinedale Manor Apartments in the 900 block of South Second Street, where the suspects were believed to be barricaded.

The police report states that officers shouted loudly and two suspects escaped without incident. Two other suspects refused to leave the apartment, but officers entered and took them into custody.

While searching the apartment, officers found Domino's pizza boxes, a handgun hidden in a laundry basket and uneaten pizza slices in a bathroom toilet, as if the suspects were trying to flush the evidence away.

Michael Harris, 17, Floyd Hennington, 19, Deanthony Minor, 19, and Amare White, 20, all of Lufkin, are charged with aggravated robbery. They all remained in the Angelina County Jail, along with Harris and Hennington on $150,000 bail and Minor and White on $100,000 bail.
