Portis of the Bucks is sent off after a scuffle with Nembhard of the Pacers

INDIANAPOLIS – With the Milwaukee Bucks already missing their top two scorers Sunday night against the Pacers, forward Bobby Portis was sent off in the first quarter of Game 4 after a scuffle with Indiana guard Andrew Nembhard.

Portis received a double technical foul for what officials described as two acts of hostility after a play in which he clashed with Nembhard as he tried to get in position for a rebound with 5:01 left in the first quarter bring.

After Nembhard pushed Portis' arm away, Portis pushed him back and then touched Nembhard's head.

It was Portis' first career shutout in a playoff game. He played seven minutes and scored four points on 2-of-4 shooting.

The Bucks planned to rely more heavily on Portis since Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) and Damian Lillard (Achilles tendon injury) were both out Sunday. According to a study by ESPN Stats & Information, it was the 13th time a team played a playoff game without its top two regular-season scorers. The record for these teams: 0-12.

The Pacers lead the best-of-seven series 2-1.
