Paws up!

It was open game for a wild raccoon on the streets of Queens after the “masked” animal tangled with the wrong gun owner Sunday morning, fur hunting footage showed.

The unidentified man took aim and shot the raccoon several times at close range in broad daylight as it walked along the sidewalk in front of a home in Springfield Garden around 10:30 a.m., authorities said.

The unknown person shot the raccoon on Sunday, police said.

The video shows the gunman, wearing a hoodie and cap, pulling the trigger before jumping back into the driver's seat of an SUV.

In another clip obtained by the Post, NYPD patrol cars could be seen in front of the house on 223rd Street.

The gunman fired several shots during the surreal ordeal, but it is unclear whether the wildlife infestation was hit, cops said.

It is unclear whether the animal was hit by a bullet.

The shooter has not yet been charged while the investigation is ongoing.

Although raccoons are typically nocturnal animals, it is not uncommon to see them searching for food during the day, according to city officials.

“Most raccoons are healthy and are not at risk of transmitting disease to humans,” the city's wildlife department said, noting that there have been efforts to vaccinate them against rabies in Queens, Staten Island and Brooklyn since 2014.
