MICKEY VS WINNIE is a new horror film in development thanks to Public Domain – GeekTyrant

Another one of those public domain Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh horror films is in the works. It has the title Mickey vs Winnieand it is developed by Untouchables Entertainment and the website iHorror.

Glen Douglas Packard (pitchfork) will direct the film from a script he wrote, and it will just be another one of those cheaply made cash grabs. This one also rides the cocks of the Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey Franchise.

The film follows “two convicts in the 1920s who escape into a cursed forest, only to be dragged into the depths of the dark forest's muddy heart and consumed.”

“A century later, a group of exciting friends unwittingly venture into the same forest. Their Airbnb escape takes a horrific turn when the convicts mutate into twisted versions of childhood icons Mickey Mouse and Winnie-The-Pooh and emerge to terrorize them.

“A night of violence and blood erupts as the group of friends battle their now monstrous, beloved childhood characters and struggle to break free from the forest's grip.

“In a horrific spectacle, Mickey and Winnie clash, bathing the forest in a horrifying scene of blood – a chilling testament to the curse’s insidious power.”

Packard said in a statement: “Horror fans demand the thrill of seeing icons like the new Aliens and Avengers together on screen. “While licensing nightmares rarely make such crossovers, 'Mickey vs. Winnie' is our homage to this thrilling fantasy.”

Manufacturer Anthony Pernicka from iHorror Previews: “We are excited to introduce this unique release to horror fans. The Mickey Mouse featured in our film is unlike any iteration audiences have seen before.

She added: “Our depiction does not include characters wearing simple masks. Instead, we present profoundly altered live-action horror interpretations of these iconic characters, combining elements of innocence and malevolence. After experiencing the intense scenes we created, you will never look at Mickey the same way again.”

I just can't help but roll my eyes at the ridiculousness of this.
