Dezeen showroom: Named after a crystalline mineral, Italian brand Fiandre Architectural Surfaces' Selenite Maximum tile collection brings a dazzling quality to interiors.

The Selenite Maximum collection refers to Selenite, a type of gypsum known for its transparent crystals, which is why the ancient Greeks called it “moonstone”.

In Fiandre's interpretation of high-performance porcelain stoneware, these rich interior textures are reproduced in three colors: black, white and greige.

The brand says the tiles add a “prestigious touch” to walls, floors and structures while creating “a feeling of spatial and spiritual renewal.”

The range is available in multiple formats as well as a new Jewel finish, which Fiandre says combines glassiness and iridescence to create a lush stone effect with silver reflections.

The Selenite Maximum collection also offers the high-performance qualities of ceramic tiles and features durability, mechanical strength, resistance to chemicals and ease of cleaning.
