McGurk said of Warner: “He is one of the most selfless people I have ever met. He always has time for everyone. He wants to help you around the clock. In every hotel he was always two rooms away from me.” I just go to his room every morning and drink coffee.

“He’s more Indian than Australian. I tell him that. That's what I say. I say he is 70 per cent Indian and 30 per cent Australian,” he added.

First impression and bonding while golfing

“I didn’t know anything about him, but he knew my life story,” Stubbs revealed.

Fraser-McGurk said: “I remember my first thoughts: He’s a little bigger than I imagined. I thought it would be a little smaller, but it's a pretty big unit. He’s been fine so far.”

“We are playing for international matches. Whoever loses has to buy the other person an international game. We had some close games but it shouldn't be close because technically I should be the better golfer because of my handicap, but he played quite well,” said the Australian batsman, who is a better golfer. Meanwhile, Stubbs added: “He has a five-shot lead.”

The IPL ExperienceFraser-McGurk said: “The differences of actually being there, seeing it from an outside perspective and hearing about it kind of blended together quite nicely. I just had no expectation of playing a game, but being able to play now is great.

Stubbs explained: “It took me a while to get used to the hype and the pressure. I really enjoyed this year. It was nice to have a long run in a team. We played a lot of golf and accomplished a lot of things off the field, which is always nice.

In six matches of IPL 2024 so far, McGurk has scored 259 runs at an average of 43.16 and a strike rate of 233.33, with three half-centuries. On the other hand, Stubbs has scored 277 runs in 10 matches at an average of 55.40 and a strike rate of 185.40, with two half-centuries and a best of 71*.
