A TikToker's hilarious review of Kim Kardashian's shapewear collection went viral

A hilarious TikTok featuring a woman reviewing Kim Kardashian's SKIMS shapewear line has gone viral, racking up eight million views in just five days. The post was created by Adria Barich, a TikTok user from Nevada who creates comedy videos. In her bio, she describes herself as “a little bit Italian and a lot of fun” and reminds viewers that she's on the app to laugh.

She begins the video by saying, “This video is for Kim Kardashian and only for Kim Kardashian.” We then see Barich appear unfazed in front of the camera wearing a pair of nude, high-waisted Skims shaping underwear.

She comments: “What is this? I thought SKIMS was supposed to make me curvy, not Winnie the Pooh wearing underwear that was too small.” Maybe I was sniffing at this point because I attributed it all too well to trying on ill-fitting shapewear.

She continues jokingly, “I look like the Pillsbury Doughboy. I have two more butt cheeks than when I started.” She then turns around with her back to the camera and slaps her butt for effect.

She continues: “Why yes, I wear shapewear. Oh, you didn't know? You couldn’t tell?”

Barich included the hashtag #bodypositivity in her post, and the funny, deadpan tone of her speech shows that she's not being hard on herself – she's just laughing about the clothes not fitting properly and therefore not getting the Kardashian “shaping.” -achieve the effect she expects. I had hoped.

The video quickly received over 14,000 comments, with some people laughing along and others taking it seriously, suggesting that she may have simply chosen the wrong size of SKIMS.

Barich liked many of the comments, he laughed along and replied to some with “HAHAHA”. Most people seem to think the post is just for fun, or at least can relate to online shopping failures that don't quite fit the way you imagined. We've all been there, right?
