With the 2024 T20 World Cup less than a month away from kicking off, the Indian cricket team's jersey has reportedly been 'leaked' on social media. Pictures of India's new equipment for the global event are spreading like wildfire on social media. The leaked images show that the jersey has tri-color stripes on the V-shaped neckline. Sportswear giant Adidas' traditional three stripes can be seen on the saffron sleeves. It is not the first time that Team India's new kit has been leaked on social media, but it is a big blow as such releases usually happen through formal channels.

This is how the fans reacted:

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had recently confirmed the 15-member squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup while also naming four reserve players who will travel with the team.

Players like Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube and Yuzvendra Chahal made eager returns to the Indian team while prominent stars like KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill were snubbed in the 15-man squad. Rinku Singh was arguably the biggest casualty when the BCCI selection committee finalized the squad.

India has selected only three seamers Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh for the mega event while they have called up four spinners namely Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav.

India captain Rohit Sharma later explained the decision to include four spinners in the squad and snub players like Shubman, Rinku and a few others in a press conference.

India squad: Rohit Sharma (c), Hardik Pandya (vc), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (week), Sanju Samson (week), Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh , Jasprit Bumrah, Mohd. Siraj

Reserves: Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, Khaleel Ahmed and Avesh Khan
