Shooting in Drake House: Police investigate, security guards injured

TORONTO (AP) — Police are investigating a shooting involving a rapper Drakes Villa in Toronto where a security guard was seriously injured.

Authorities did not confirm whether Drake was home at the time of the shooting but said his team was cooperating. The shooting happened around 2 a.m. Tuesday in Toronto's affluent Bridle Path neighborhood.

Toronto Police Inspector Paul Krawczyk said video of the shooting had been recovered and the wounded guard remained in hospital.

In recent weeks, Drake has been embroiled in a rap feud with him Kendrick Lamar, with each artist dropping diss tracks and attacking the other.

Krawczyk was asked if the feud played a role in the shooting, and he said that while investigators knew about it, it was too early to talk about the motive.

Drake, born Aubrey Drake Graham, is one of the best-selling artists of the modern era. He began his career as a child actor on the popular teen show “Degrassi: The Next Generation” before turning to music and releasing some of the most influential albums of any genre in the 2010s: “Take Care,” “Nothing Was the.” Same” and “Views” below.
