The latest leak for the Sonos Roam 2 reveals a design that is similar to the original

The Sonos Roam 2 portable speaker has been circulating in the rumor mill for some time. The audio product will appear as the successor to the Sonos Roam, which was launched about three years ago. Sonos will launch the next-generation Roam speaker in the coming weeks. Ahead of its launch, a new leak has revealed the design of the Sonos Roam 2 speaker from all angles.

In terms of design, the Sonos Roam 2 will be identical to its predecessor

The leaked images of the Sonos Roam 2 show that it will be almost a replica of the original in terms of design. One of the main differences between the two is that the brand logo now matches the color of the speaker. In addition, the Sonos Roam 2 has two buttons on the back. One of them is a dedicated button for pairing with Bluetooth devices.

The new button allows users to easily connect their Roam 2 speakers to any phone or audio source. This eliminates the need to set up the speaker on your home Wi-Fi network using the Sonos app on your phone.

Unfortunately, the leak didn't provide any details about the sonic capabilities of the next-generation Sonos Roam 2 speaker. According to the leaked images, the new Roam speaker could just be an improved version of the original. It won't be a completely new device.

The original Sonos Roam is a compact, portable, waterproof speaker. The device is resistant to accidental drops. The Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled speaker offers up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge. The price of the Sonos Roam is $179. It is available in up to five color variants.

The Roam 2 could come onto the market alongside the brand's first headphones

Sonos will soon make its debut in the highly competitive headphones category. The Sonos Ace will be the company's first product in this category. The Sonos Roam 2 portable speaker and the Sonos Ace are expected to be launched in parallel at the same event.

Recently, some images of the premium Sonos Ace headphones were leaked. The headphones feature removable magnetic cushions, similar to the Apple AirPods Max. Other highlights are expected to include Dynamic Head Tracking, Bluetooth 5.3, AptX Lossless and 30 hours of battery life.
