Reliable transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that a £52million player has now agreed to move to Chelsea in a real boost for the Blues.

Despite their good form on paper of late, Chelsea's overall season has been marred by inconsistency and there are still doubts over the future of head coach Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine was the subject of protests from fans at times during the 2023/20 season, enduring another Chelsea season without a major title despite spending over £400m last summer.

Chelsea have reportedly done their due diligence in the event Pochettino leaves this summer, but with or without the former Tottenham manager there are very important things ahead for the west Londoners over the next few months.

In fact, they are already making great progress towards the latter goal, with Palmeiras star Estevao Willian attracting their keen interest. Chelsea are believed to have prepared an official offer for Estevao and some media sources have even claimed they could strike a double deal with Palmeiras and his teammate Luis Guilherme (The Boot Room).

Converted into pounds, Estevao's clause comes to around £52 million, with Romano now sharing a big update on Estevao's potential move to Chelsea.
