Billy Currington will now have a new concert in Minnesota

He's had eleven number one singles so far in his career and now Billy Currington has just announced that he will be returning to Minnesota later this summer.

I guess you could say he's doing something right! Billy Currington is back on tour in 2024 and has added another date here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes to his schedule. If you remember, Billy played the Ledge Amphitheater in Waite Park for the last time here in Bold North last September.

A fixture in country music for well over a decade, Billy began his career in rural Georgia before moving to Nashville when he was just 18 years old. He then released one hit after another and won numerous awards.

He won the Hottest Video of the Year award at the fan-voted CMT Music Awards in 2006 for “Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right.” That same year, he received an ACM nomination for Top New Male Vocalist. His hit duet “Party for Two” with Shania Twain received nominations from both the CMA and ACM. “People Are Crazy” earned him Grammy nominations for Male Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Song, and was also nominated for Single and Song of the Year by the CMA.

And now Billy has announced he's returning to Minnesota's third-largest city later this summer, playing a show at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 8 p.m., along with special guest Bryan Martin (You you already know). his big hit “We Ride”) and Drew Green.
