Charli XCX expands the Mother Cinematic Universe in the video for “360”

Charli XCX has already shared some tracks from her upcoming album, brat (from lime green and blurry Arial font Album cover Fame). February 2024 saw a Boiler Room set where a number of excerpts were aired, followed by the official releases of “Von dutch” and “Club Classics” as well as a performance of the SOPHIE tribute song “So I“.

Now, a month before the full album's release, Charli is back with an Aidan Zamiri-directed video for opening track “360.” Looks like a parallel universe production of euphoria or a 2020s It Girl variant GirlThe visuals feature a star-studded cast prepared for extreme online use, including Rachel Sennott, GabbrietteChloe Cherry, Richie ShazamSalem Mitchell, Julia Fox and others sit down for dinner.

However, it's not just any dinner. When Charli interrupts to perform her new song, she is told to put the performance on hold for a greater reason. “We have to fulfill the prophecy of finding a new hot internet girl,” Gabbriette explains as she blows out the smoke. “Otherwise our species will cease to exist,” adds Chloe Cherry. “Forever.”

Julia Fox, hiding at the end of the table, is out, having already reached the heady heights of stardom (and previously appearing on Charli's Boiler Room set). Luckily a waiter – @randomcontrol – is on hand to provide the blank canvas for clout. “You have to have this I don't know what I need“, the It girls instruct her. “And I would say it's about being really hot, in a scary way,” Gabbriette adds, before Richie Shazam chimes in: “You have to be known, but at the same time.” unrecognizable.”

The video also features guest appearances from Isamaya Ffrench, Hari Nef, Emma Chamberlain, Alex Consani, Quen Blackwell and – at the very last minute – Chloe Sevigny.

And with this arcane knowledge, the “new hot internet girl” is born and Charli can move on to “360.” bratThe full release date is currently June 7th. In the meantime, check out the new music video below.
