Ever since the Tata Altroz ​​​​Racer, a sportier avatar of Altroz, was showcased during the Auto Expo 2023, it has become an instant center of attraction. From the design to the overall presence, the vehicle has somehow received an overwhelming response from both the general public and critics. Now some important details about the vehicle have been leaked online.

According to the leaks, the brand is preparing to release the model in the Indian market next month while sales are expected to begin in early June. However, the brand is still waiting for an official confirmation.

Any changes in design?

It was speculated that the sporty avatar of Altroz ​​will adopt the same stance seen during the Auto Expo 2023. From the outside, it will continue to feature a two-tone fascia with a white stripe in the middle of the hood, stylish alloy wheels, LED headlights and fog lights.

Expected features

If the rumors are to be believed, there could be minor cosmetic changes both outside and inside in final production. The model will be equipped with some premium segment features. The list includes ventilated synthetic leather seats, a voice-activated electric sunroof, a head-up display, a 360-degree surround-view camera system and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system supported by all Car Connect technologies.

In terms of safety, it is expected to have six airbags on board and be equipped with electronic stability control (ESC) as standard.

Under the hood, the upcoming Altroz ​​Racer will use a proven 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine inherited from the best-selling Nexon. It produces a maximum power of 118 hp and 170 Nm and can be combined with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Current lineup

The company has launched the Altroz ​​range in India at a starting price of Rs 6.65 lakh, while the top model costs up to Rs 10.80 lakh. The vehicle is offered in more than 30 variants, giving customers a wide choice.
