Fatal shooting at Ohio movie theater

MASSILLON, Ohio – A man was killed in a shooting at the Regal Massillon movie theater Friday night.

Eyewitnesses told Cleveland television station WKYC that the shooting occurred in the lobby of the theater on Cherry Road Northwest before 11 p.m. Massillon police reported shots were fired around the same time.

Police were later seen escorting people from the back of the building as the investigation began, WKYC reported.

Authorities said the victim's body was found near the lobby. The victim was 27-year-old Daron Davis of Canton, who was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.

The unnamed suspect was taken into custody at the Massillon Police Department.

No other injuries were reported in the shooting. This is an ongoing investigation.
