BIRMINGHAM – Texas A&M Vishnu Sadagopan has secured a spot on the SEC Men's Golf Community Service Team, which will be announced at the league's annual awards.

The Pearland, Texas-based product is active in a variety of charitable activities. His contributions include participation in Texas A&M's REVved Up to Read program, which allows student-athletes to visit young students in the area to read and speak about the importance of literacy and education; and Aggies CAN, which has become the largest student-athlete volunteer canned food drive in the country. Aggies CAN donations are given back to families and organizations to support the Bryan-College Station area.

The junior actively writes letters to families for Silver Taps, one of the most sacred and meaningful traditions at Texas A&M. He has participated in the Big Event, the Brazos Valley Parade of Homes and the Texas A&M Men's Golf Annual Volunteer Maintenance Day on and around the Traditions Club grounds.

Sadagopan competed in 10 tournaments during his junior season, posting two top-20 performances. He had his best performance of the season with a 12 at the Furman IntercollegiateTh finish place.

Professional honors for Sadagopan include PING All-Central Region in 2023 and earning a spot on the Louisiana Classics All-Tournament Team as a sophomore.

The Pearland, Texas native is a three-time member of the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll and earned GCAA All-America status in 2023.

The Aggies return to action on Monday with the NCAA Stanford Regional in California. The Maroon & White competed in a 14-team field at Stanford Golf Course, with the top five teams advancing to the NCAA Championships.
