The Timberwolves' Naz Reid tattoo trend is having unintended consequences

The Minnesota Timberwolves has gone from being one of the NBA's most disappointing teams a year ago to a legitimate title contender this season.

A big part of this transformation is the support of the big man Naz Reidwho won the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year award and was nothing short of sensational for the T-Wolves.

Reid, a former undrafted free agent, has become a cult hero in Minnesota, so much so that hundreds of fans have his name tattooed on them.

A tattoo artist in Roseville, a suburb of Minneapolis, offered to tattoo Reid's name on any willing fan for just $20. The reaction was even greater than he could have imagined.

FOX 9 in Minneapolis-St. Paul reports that Beloved Studios in Roseville has already given more than 100 Naz Reid tattoos and there are many other people on the waiting list.

But there's just one problem.

Naz Reid's tattoo trend leads to T-Wolves manager's phone number leaked

During the news segment, aspiring tattoo artist JC received an invitation from the Timberwolves to attend Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Denver Nuggets as the team's guest.

JC showed the reporter the invitation. But no one thought to obscure the phone number listed in the text.

The text states that the person's assistant is Laura Janquart. Janquart's social media page states that she is a WNBA senior assistant for both the Timberwolves and the Minnesota Lynx.

Who is Janquart an assistant for?

Well, her Instagram bio states that it is Ryan Tanke, COO/CEO of T-Wolves.

A quick Google search then revealed that the number JC gave out in the message actually goes back to Tanke, the manager of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

While it was undoubtedly an incredible moment for the young artist, he also appears to have doxxed the Chief Operating Officer of the Minnesota Timberwolves in the process.

Yikes.
