Houston murder suspect Karon Fisher was caught on video running over victim Steven Anderson twice before kissing and stabbing him

HOUSTON – Our Houston sister station KTRK has obtained deeply disturbing video of a murder in broad daylight.

On May 3, the victim, Steven Anderson, was walking on a Texas road to pick up mail when a car hit him.

The suspect is 20-year-old Karon Fisher, identified in court records as a man but also described by police as a woman.

KTRK edited the graphic video and paused it before Anderson was hit.

The car reversed, hitting him again and throwing him further onto the street as neighbors frantically called 911.

A neighbor came out of the building with a pillow and the suspect came back with a knife in his hand.

The suspect is seen flipping Anderson's limp body over, straddling him and kissing him before stabbing him nine times.

The suspect casually walked away as if nothing had happened, with neighbors watching.

“It's very disturbing. I have children here; they could have been playing out here and imagined them,” a neighbor told KTRK.

The suspect could be seen attempting to get into another car while speaking to witnesses.

When that failed, she jumped over Anderson's body and walked away.

Fisher has been charged with the 64-year-old's murder and is being held on $2 million bail.

“In broad daylight. There were people there every time and it happened right under our noses,” said a neighbor.

KTRK's Brooke Taylor spoke to the neighbors and it was too much for them to relive and talk about.

One woman said she had been away from work and was trying to find a therapist to talk to about this traumatic murder.

Records show Fisher was under local supervision for five years in 2023 for evading arrest. Records show Fisher was also charged with prostitution in 2021, but the case was later dismissed.

She was also accused of assaulting a hospital employee on the same day as the murder.
