The video, titled “Stairway to Heaven,” has garnered widespread attention on social media platforms and is credited to Chinese fireworks artist Cai Guo-Qiang. According to CCTV, this stunning art installation was presented by Cai almost a decade ago as a heartfelt tribute to his grandmother, who unwaveringly supported his artistic ambitions.

Vice's report details that the towering “Staircase to Heaven,” which stretches an impressive 1,650 feet (502 meters) long, was made from gunpowder laced with copper wire, making it nearly invisible to the naked eye. From Cai's perspective, the ignition of this remarkable creation occurred in a flying hot air balloon.
