Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority Approves Sponsorship for NBA Summer League, Wrestlemania | tourism

Two popular sporting events that will draw thousands of fans to Las Vegas are being sponsored by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

The board on Tuesday unanimously approved sponsorships for the next two seasons of the NBA Summer League, July 12-22 of this year and July 2025, for $600,000 annually, and for Wrestlemania 41, scheduled for July 19-20 April 2025 at Allegiant Stadium for $5 million.

This year's 20th Summer League season, held at UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion, is a 75-game season featuring all 30 NBA teams over 11 days. The players include rookies, some second-year players and free agents who are no longer on the roster and are trying to return to the league.

The games will be broadcast on ESPN and NBA TV and streamed on the NBA mobile app, giving the city an additional boost of exposure.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are the reigning NBA Summer League champions.

LVCVA officials say the NBA Summer League is expected to attract more than 41,850 out-of-town visitors, who will book more than 53,000 additional room nights over the course of the season.

Wrestlemania, operated by WWE LLC, has evolved over four decades from a TV show to stadium and arena events that draw fans to Raw, SmackDown, NXT Stand & Deliver, WWE World and the WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony Dress in 2025.

Wrestlemania 41 is expected to attract more than 180,000 out-of-town visitors, accounting for more than 144,000 additional overnight stays.
