Ahead of its world premiere on Thursday (May 16) at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, Mubi has announced it will distribute the film in the UK, but a cinema or streaming release date has yet to be announced.

While fans of Keoghan may have to wait a while for Bird's release, the star made a huge splash among audiences when Saltburn was released on streaming late last year. At the time, Keoghan expressed his discomfort with allowing viewers to pause during this scene.

“You can press pause… and watch it,” he joked, referring to the final scene in which the star dances naked. “That's one thing that kind of freaks me out is that people can do it [pause it].”
