Cinch Player of the Month

Voting for April's Player of the Month award is open, with fans able to select the Saints who they believe made the greatest contribution on the pitch during the month.

The competition remains open until Tuesday May 21st. Northampton Saints and Cinch will then announce the winning player.

Throughout the season, Cinch will also offer a number of prizes to those who vote for the award. Each month, one lucky supporter will be randomly selected after voting ends. In April, one lucky winner will receive a personalized, signed Saints shirt from that month's vote winner!

Northampton took three wins from their four games in April, including wins over Munster (24-14) and Vodacom Bulls (59-22) in the Investec Champions Cup, along with a Derby Day home win against Leicester Tigers (40-17). Their only defeat of the month came at Twickenham against Harlequins as they came out on the wrong side of the game 41-32 Score.

With these matchups in mind, the Saints coaches have selected four nominees for the monthly award; George Hendy, Alex Moon, James Ramm And Ollie Sleightholme.

Hendy had an impressive month on Northampton's wing, scoring three tries in the four games, including a crucial brace as the Saints beat Munster in the last 16 of the Champions Cup. His other five-point shot came at the end of the month against the Tigers in the men's black, green and gold 40-17 win.

Lock Moon started three of the Saints' four games in April and was impressive in all three games. The 27-year-old averaged 11 tackles per game and helped the Saints win 100% of their scrums against Munster, Vodacom Bulls and Tigers.

After returning from injury at the end of March, Ramm enjoyed a torrid April, crossing the white line four times and scoring points against both Munster and Harlequins, as well as scoring a brace against the Bulls. The full-back also topped the scoring list against Munster and managed 127 meters in that game alone.

Another saint on the scoresheet last month was prolific winger Sleightholme. After being named both the Gallagher Player of the Month and the Cinch Player of the Month in March, Sleightholme continued his form into April when he crossed the try line two more times and beat 13 defenders in the three games .
