The new Valorant map will be revealed soon and here's everything we know so far

We're currently in the final act of Valorant Episode 8. This was a very good chapter for the game, with the most memorable addition being the reveal of new playable character Clove. While new agents are always welcome, so are new maps. We know that a new Valorant map will be officially revealed soon and here's everything that's known so far about the upcoming battlefield.

Riot Games recently released the patch notes for Update 8.09. This has resulted in agent buffs and some bug fixes. Additionally, Riot Games has dismissed dangerous conspiracy theories about their Vanguard anti-cheat software, and leaks have revealed the codename of a new agent believed to be in development for Episode 9.

We're really looking forward to the start of Episode 9, but before the next chapter of Riot Games begins, we're treated to the reveal of a brand new Valorant map.

New Valorant map leaks and when they will be revealed

A brand new Valorant map will be revealed at the VCT Masters Shanghai competition. This was confirmed by Riot Games in their Episode 8 Act 3 launch trailer.

At the end of this trailer you can see a graphic that says “New card reveal at Valorant Masters Shanghai.” This is an eSports competition scheduled to begin on May 23rd. Riot Games does not have a specific date for the reveal, but it is expected to take place at the finale on June 9th.

So far all we officially know is that Riot Games will be raising the curtain on the fresh playground of this year's VCT Masters Shanghai tournament. Luckily, leaks have revealed more details that Riot is currently keeping secret.

Per ValorantUpdated On Twitter the map is supposedly called Bastion. It was discovered by Reddit user Impossible_Ad1362, who claims to have found the map using a web crawling bot. In addition to the name Bastion, it is speculated that the map will be the home of Team Deathmatch.

Finally, the Reddit user was able to get an image of the new leaked map. You can find the image below in an embedded tweet from ValorantUpdated:

As you can see in the picture of Bastion, there is a big hole. This could possibly be related to this teaser image shared by ValorantLeaksDE back in March:

Unfortunately, this is all we know about the new card at the time of writing. If it is revealed on June 9th, it will likely come to the game in the following update, similar to how Clove was revealed at VCT Marid Masters on March 24th before arriving on March 26th/27th. was published in March.
