Wizards options with No. 2 pick

Almost a year ago, the Washington Wizards finally hit the reset button and released Kristaps Porzingis and Bradley Beal to opt for a rebuild in the NBA Draft.

Now they have secured the second overall pick and will look to add talent for the foreseeable future.

Here are some options Washington might consider at No. 2:

Topic has emerged as one of the best ballplayers in his class this year, boasting a 6-foot-6 frame and an intellectual, EuroLeague-style game.

There's a chance he develops into a star with a high passing IQ and feel for the game, or he could function as a senior, error-free guard. Or even a wing when it comes to shooting.

Regardless, Topic is sure to get a good look from Washington in the pre-draft process.

Despite a down year in the G League, Buzelis still offers a ton of actionable skills as a 6-foot-10 winger.

Washington general manager Will Dawkins recently said the team will look to develop players for the future, and Buzelis as a winger who can put the ball on the floor, pass, shoot and defend is an intriguing project.

At 1.90 meters tall, Castle was crucial to the Huskies becoming champions again. He played primarily on the wing and offered stingy attacking defense, connecting passing and good cutting play.

Castle could develop into a full-time lead guard, similar to his high school role, and the Wizards could be the ones willing to take advantage of that chance and develop him further.

Risacher, a French winger, has established himself as one of the best players in his class and demonstrated his shooting and defensive skills at 1.90 meters in a very good LNB Pro A league.

He already has basic NBA skills, but could improve even further as his ball-handling and passing skills develop, which are serviceable. Washington likely wants some star potential with their No. 2 pick, so they'll have to find out if Risacher has that.
