The Salina Police Department would like to remind everyone to treat others with respect and compassion, not just on the street but in general. It is important to understand that traffic disturbances can escalate very quickly. Please think before you act and consider the consequences. Don't take the law into your own hands.

If you believe someone has committed a crime or traffic violation, contact your local police so the matter can be investigated and legally prosecuted. Anyone who takes the law into their own hands must expect legal consequences, including imprisonment.

Friday night's incident is a reminder of how quickly confrontation with others can become a life-threatening situation, not only for those directly involved, but also for innocent bystanders. Fortunatly nobody was hurt
